Spirituality "O GOD, You are my GOD, for You I long;
My body pines for You
like a dry, weary land without water.
So I gaze on You in the sanctuary
to see Your strength and Your Glory.
For Your love is better than life."
Psalm 63:1-3

Sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor,
and you will have a treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.
Luke 18:22

"LORD, listen to my prayer,
turn Your ear to my appeal.
You are faithful, You are just; give answer...

I muse on what Your hand has wrought
and to You I stretch out my hands.
Like a parched land my soul thirsts for You.

In the morning let me know Your love
for I put my trust in You.
Make me know the way I should walk:
to You I lift up my soul...

Teach me to do Your Will
for You, O LORD, are my God.
Let Your good Spirit guide me
in ways that are level and smooth."
Psalm 143: 1, 5-6, 8, 10

“Peter said, ‘We have given up our possessions and followed you.’ He said to them, ‘Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God who will not receive an overabundant return in this present age and eternal life in the age to come.’” Luke 18:23-30

"How lovely is Your dwelling place,
LORD, God of hosts.

SpiritualityMy soul is longing and yearning,
is yearning for the courts of the LORD.
My heart and my soul ring out their joy
to God the living God...

They are happy who dwell in Your house,
for ever singin Your praise.
They are happy whose strength is in You...

One day within Your courts
is better than a thousand elsewhere.
Psalm 84: 1-2, 4, 10

"You shall be called by a new name
pronounced by the mouth of the LORD.
You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the LORD,
a royal diadem held by your God...

You shall be called, 'My delight,'
and your land 'Espoused.'
For the LORD delights in you,
and makes your land His spouse.

As a young man marries a virgin,
your Builder shall marry you;
and as a bridegroom rejoices in his bride
so shall your God rejoice in you."
Isaiah 62:2-3, 4-5

"Listen, O daughter, give ear to my words:
forget your own people and your father's house.
So will the King desire your beauty:
He is your Lord, pay homage to Him."
Psalm 45:11-12
“Jesus again in reply spoke to them in parables, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. A second time he sent other servants, saying, “Tell those invited: ‘Behold, I have prepared my banquet, my calves and fattened cattle are killed, and everything is ready; come to the feast.’” Some ignored the invitation and went away, one to his farm, another to his business. The rest laid hold of his servants, mistreated them, and killed them. The king was enraged and sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. Then he said to his servants, The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find. The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike, and the hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to meet the guests he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. He said to him,'My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment? But he was reduced to silence. Then the king said to his attendants, Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth. Many are invited, but few are chosen.”  Matthew 22:1-14

"Train me to observe Your law,
to keep it with all my heart.
Guide me in the paths of Your commands;
for there is my delight.
Bend my heart to Your Will."
Psalm 119:34-36
“In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings. And the one who searches hearts knows what is the intention of the Spirit, because it intercedes for the holy ones according to God's will. We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those He predestined He also called; and those He called He also justified; and those He justified He also glorified.” Romans 8:26-30

"If the LORD does not build the house, in vain do its builders labor;
if the LORD does not watch over the city,
in vain does the watchman keep vigil.
In vain is your earlier rising,
your going later to rest,
you who toil for the bread you eat:
when He pours gifts on His beloved while they slumber."
Psalm 127
"Then I heard the voice of the LORD saying, ‘Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?’ ‘Here I am,’ I said; ‘send me!’”  Isaiah 6:8

"Blessed be the LORD, my Rock,
Who trains my arms for battle,
Who prepares my hands for war.
He is my Love, my Fortress;
He is my stronghold, my Savior,
my Shield, my place of refuge."
Psalm 144:1-2
"A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars."  Revelation 12:1

Of this I am sure, that Your love lasts forever."

trust in Him and He will act...
Be still before the LORD and wait in patience."
Psalm 37:4-5, 7

But you, go and proclaim the God.’ And another said, ‘I will follow you, Lord, but first let me say farewell to my family at home.’ (To him) Jesus said, ‘No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the kingdom of God.’’  Luke 9:57-62

“The word of the LORD came to me thus: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you. ‘Ah, LORD GOD!’ I said, ‘I know not how to speak; I am too young.’ But the LORD answered me, Say not, ‘I am too young.’ To whomever I send you, you shall go; whatever I command you, you shall speak. My soul is waiting for the LORD,

and Israel on the LORD.
